How is the WiFi QR used?
Your visitor opens their phone's camera (modern iOS and Android detect it natively, no app needed) and points it at the QR. A notification appears to join the network. No typing the password, no sharing it in writing.
Which devices can scan it?
iPhone since iOS 11 (2017) and Android since version 10 (2019) scan this format natively. Older versions may need a free app like Google Lens. All standard QR readers work too.
Is the password stored anywhere?
No. The QR is generated in your browser using QRCode.js. The PNG download is composed locally. We never send the password or SSID to a server.
